Ebisu Jinja Shrine – Kyoto

DSC_9393

My friend Yaeko took me to the Ebisu Jinja Shrine for the Tokaebisu Festival held on the 10th of January each year. Merchants and business people go to pray for good business and for the well being and safety of family.
I don’t have any good pictures of the shrine itself as it was packed with people who were praying and buying Kitcho – kodakara (lucky ornaments) attached to  fuku-zasa (bamboo sprigs.)
